Holidays aren’t just about the kids. Nope, nope, nope – not even family holidays.
Family holidays are called that for a reason. Sometimes they’re about trying new food or indulging on ice-cream. For some of us it might be running up and down the beach like a banshee or building sand forts that make the best holidays. For me – one of the reasons I love holidays is for the chance to play with my photography.
I suppose like many hobbies, they tend to take a back seat while we’re working. Work can be all consuming and finding time for that creative outlet takes a back seat too. However, whilst on holiday I love having the time and the mind space to play with colours and lines, shapes and spaces and of course capturing lady H in the moment.
Northumberland was an amazing place to brush the dust off my camera. There seemed to be a never ending supply of colours, shapes, reflections and interesting lines.
My little Fuji is getting to the point of being on it’s last legs – but it’s still turning out images I love. Here are some of my personal indulgent snaps of our holiday. I loved playing with macro and capturing sea side textures!
